Plus Size Patient Care: High Acuity, Low Occurrence (HALO) CPD Certified Manual Handling Workshop

Caring for patients of a larger size presents unique challenges that require specialist skills, confidence, equipment and the right approach.

Our High Acuity, Low Occurrence (HALO) CPD-accredited one-day course is designed to build on the knowledge gained through our Plus Size Patient Manual Handling CPD and is well suited to Band 5+ staff.

Developed by experts in patient handling and bariatric care, using real-world scenarios and shape-suit, the course will equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical techniques needed to safely and effectively support larger patients in care settings.

With the guidance and expertise of our trainer, delegates are encouraged to risk assess these scenarios and are challenged to create a safe, dignified solution with reflective practice to build problem-solving skills and knowledge.

This workshop is designed for healthcare teams of up to 15 people to ensure best practices in ergonomics, dignity, training, and equipment use — helping to enhance patient outcomes while protecting care staff.
